There are two available seats, each for a four-year term beginning in December 2026 and ending in December 2030.

 

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, registered voters, and residents within District boundaries. Board members are not required to have experience with district services, but are expected to attend meetings, review materials in advance, and work collaboratively with other board members, the district general manager, and residents.

 

Declaration of Candidacy forms will be available during the nomination period, July 13 through August 7, 2026. Interested candidates must call the County of San Luis Obispo Elections Office at 805-781-5228to schedule an appointment to obtain nomination papers.

 

Independence Ranch Community Services District participates in the San Luis Obispo County Consolidation election process.
